As the Director of Special Services, Kelly provides leadership across the supervisory union in supporting students with disabilities, ages 3-22. She is passionate about the success of all students.
Kelly collaborates with the Principals, outside agencies and Special Education teachers to meet the unique needs of students across the schools; while ensuring that the SU complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Kelly has been the WCSU Director since July 2010. Prior to coming to Washington Central she had been a Sepecial Education teacher, a building-based Special Ed Director, and an Assistant SPED Director during the course of her career. She received her BS from Trinity College of VT and a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in supporting students with emotional/behavior disorders. She obtained her Vermont Agency of Education license as Director of Special Education through leadership course work at St. Michael's College.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. She enjoys being creative through a variety of crafts (jewelry making, sewing, and more.)
