SAT / ACT Test Preparation (FREE On-line)
For free online SAT test prep log onto Khan Academy. Students can link their PSAT scores to Khan Academy which will create a personalized test prep program.
For free online ACT prep go to Method Test Prep, https://app.methodtestprep.com/U-32HighSchool/signup/tkn11584349 an on-line course that will help students build their math, reading, writing, and ACT test prep skills.
When you visit the link for the first time, you will need to click on the "sign up" tab to create their new account. You will be required to enter a valid email address and create a username/password so you can log directly into Method Test Prep.
Remember to frequent Naviance / Family Connection as this web-based program will help U-32 students explore colleges and careers, build a resume, manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers, sign up for college visits, and find out what scholarships are available. Naviance will also house Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) starting with students in grade 7.

Lisa joined U-32 in 2007, bringing with her 15 years of counseling experience and four years of social work experience. Cairsten Keese | HS Counselor
Cairsten earned her B.A. in Psychology from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts. After graduation she moved to Arizona and earned her M.Ed. in School Counseling from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Caristen relocated to Vermont in 2014 and joined the Student Services team at U-32. She is very passionate about her field of work, especially when it comes to post-secondary planning. Ellen Cooke | HS Counselor
Ellen joined U-32 in 1990. She is the liaison to the Central Vermont Career Center, 9th Grade Academy, and Faculty Adivosr to Branching Out. Her other responsibilities include college and career counseling, individual and group work and she provides support for 9th and 10th grade faculty TA's. Ellen can be reached at email@example.com. Nate Lovitz | HS Counselor
A native of Central Maine, Nate joined the U-32 community after earning his Masters of Science in School Counseling from the University of Vermont. Nate earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Education at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He then spent four years in Jackson, Wyoming, working as a literacy aid and whitewater raft guide. Nate also spent a year in Augusta, Georgia, where he worked as a long-term sub at Burke County High School. Nate is extremely excited to aid students in social and emotional growth, help develop a strong and caring community, and explore social justice issues in his school counselor role. Sherry Lewton | Social Worker
Sherry joins U-32 as a Social Worker, after relocating back to her native state of Vermont. She brings over 10 years of experience as a School Social Worker in Connecticut.. Sherry earned her Masters of Social Work & Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Vermont, with a focus on Children and Families and School Social Work. Sherry has worked in a variety of settings with youth of all ages; including child welfare, adoption, and mental health. Her passion is working with adolescents, in a school setting. Sherry can assist students in reaching their potential by helping them to identify the social and emotional issues that can hinder their academic progress. She will support students and families by being a link between the home, school and community. Sherry provides individual, group, and crisis counseling to students and assists families with referral to outside agencies. Sherry approaches social work from a holistic, systems perspective. Her work with students and families is strengths based, solution focused and collaborative. Sherry also co-facilitates the Middle School Student Leadership Group. Paula Crossett | R.N.
Paula Crossett is a graduate of U-32 and UVM with a degree in nursing. She has worked in Maine, Colorado, The Children’s Hospital of Boston in the General Surgery and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. After returning home to Vermont, Paula worked at CVHH&H as the primary nurse in East Montpelier, Calais and Woodbury for 12 years, then on the Maternal Child Health team for two years before leaving to work at U-32.
