Hello Washington Central UUSD Families,
Community Connections has reopened a limited number of programs due to space and available staff. We want to help families transition back to work and help with the Remote Learning requirements your children have until the middle of June, after which we may run limited programming, but we are still assessing the need and availability of staff and space. More information on July to August will come during the first weeks of June. To help us please access the following link to complete the CC Summer Survey
We are running a preschool/childcare for children ages 3-5 years old from June 1 to June 19 at Berlin, if enough families contact us with a need. The program will be open from 8am to 4:30pm. Space is limited and will be based on when enrollment and deposits are received. Once the spots are full we will put your name on a waiting list.
We have also opened a school-aged program (K-6 grade) for students located at Berlin. The number of students allowed based on staff to student ratio is Twenty (20). This program will be open from June 1 to the 19th from 8am to 4:30pm. Filling those spots will be based on when enrollment and deposits are received. Once the spots are full we will put your name on a waiting list.
Please contact Kimberly Bolduc at email@example.com or (802)223-3456 to obtain a Parent Handbook/Contract and fee details.

Friday, May 22nd was a beautiful day for school staff and community members to enjoy another food bus parade, this time following Rumney Lunch Bus 2 with the additional support of the Middlesex Fire Department and the Vermont State Police! (to see the video, click the image below).

Now that temperatures are hitting the 60s and 70s, and the leaves are out, it's important to remember that when the leaves came out, so did various kinds of little critters that bite. It's a good idea to wear appropriate protective clothing when playing or working outside, use repellant if needed, and check for sneaky hitchhikers when coming back inside.
Health and Wellness
A student may receive a modified school meal or snack if they have a medical concern that requires accommodation (not just a family or child food preference). A VT. Dept of Education Food Modification Form must be filled out by the medical provider. The kitchen staff has the form and it can be found on the RMS Webpage. MEDICAL MODIFIED SCHOOL MEAL APPLICATION
